Large-scale distributed photovoltaics are access to low-voltage distribution station areas (DSA), as well as electric vehicles and energy storage. It brings about problems of power quality and operation control, and puts forward a higher requirement of power supply for DSA. In addition, the traditional DSA has load-imbalance and difficulty in capacity expansion of transformer, which is a challenge of power grid upgrade. Therefore, this paper provides an engineering design of grouped DSAs based on flexible DC interconnection to solve the above problems, and a practical case is presented.
