ABSTRACT This study examined the geographies of parents with intellectual disabilities in specific regions of Namibia. It aimed to understand how these parents perceive themselves and their identities within their social and cultural contexts as they manage their parenting roles. Parents with intellectual disabilities in Namibia face many challenges from their families and communities. Methods and Results After obtaining ethical approval, permission was received from all relevant institutions. The study employed a qualitative research approach, including key informant interviews and non‐participant observation with nine parents with intellectual disabilities. Conclusion The study recommends raising awareness campaigns about the parenting rights of individuals with intellectual disabilities and establishing safe spaces for everyone.
