This paper deals with parameter identification of Hammerstein systems having two-segment polynomial nonlinearities. The application of a simple decomposition technique and using switching sequences provide a special form of a Hammerstein model that is linear-in-parameters. This model is used in an iterative algorithm, enabling simultaneous estimation of all of the model parameters. To demonstrate the feasibility of the identification method, more illustrative examples are included.
