SYNTHESIS THEOREM (T271) —extends T231 (Two-Boundary Symmetry). T231 establishes that the inner and outer boundaries are the same algebraic object; T271 adds the topological reconciliation (T178 two-edge vs hall-of-mirrors) and the expansion-mechanism resolution (drain vs pressure) that T231 does not cover. Organizes results already in the PUH archive (T156, T165, T178, T231, T238, T242) ; proposes no new mechanism, equation, or quantity. Every claim tagged ESTABLISHED, SYNTHESIS, or OPEN. === DESCRIPTION (abstract) === Photonic Universe Hypothesis (PUH) — Synthesis Note. THE CLAIM: PUH's inner boundary (the Planck Shell at every core) and outer boundary (the Conical Edge where the lattice meets the Super Polariton Field) are the SAME MECHANISM REPEATED — a type identity, not a token identity, in the exact sense that all electrons are identical without being the same particle. Each is a Phase I lattice / SPF interface, held at maximum tension, reflecting by the same Casimir-leaf algebra — without being one connected surface. ESTABLISHED (already in the archive): (1) T156's perfect-reflection proof is sector-independent — it depends only on Casimir conservation and the boundary being a level set between Casimir leaves, neither referencing location, so it applies to the outer edge by the same algebra (T231). (2) Both boundaries separate Phase I lattice from the SPF, and the Planck Star interior IS the SPF ground state, so the substrate sits behind every boundary, inner and outer. (3) Both are held at maximum tension, by sector-specific drivers (gravitational compression inner; expansion + SPF pressure outer). FIRST CONSEQUENCE (reconciliation): T178 states "the universe is not a volume with a boundary; it is a boundary with two edges" (the 2D annular cross-section, A = pi (r1² - r2²) ). The hall-of-mirrors picture describes ~10¹22 inner mirrors + 1 outer. These are not in conflict — they are the cross-sectional and physical descriptions of one type-identical mechanism: counted once per cross-sectional rim, realised once per physical core. SECOND CONSEQUENCE (a tension dissolved): the inward-drain account (T178: cores swallow lattice; expansion is pulled inward; continuity lock r1 r1-dot = r2 r2-dot) and the outward-pressure account (T165: residual incomplete-packing entropic pressure = the cosmological constant Lambda, "a force that drives expansion") are NOT competitors. They are the two edges of the one annulus — inner edge drains, outer edge pressures — locked by area conservation. "Is the universe driven outward or pulled inward? " was the wrong question; lattice is transferred across one type-identical interface, drained inward and pressured outward, the two locked. THIRD CONSEQUENCE (the economy is a principle): that nature reuses one mechanism is the variational (least-energy) principle made concrete — gravity IS least-energy packing (T165: cells settling toward maximum kissing-number-240 packing), and the SPF ground state phi₀ is the minimiser of substrate tension energy (the determination of which is the open Rₛub computation). The economy of reused mechanisms is the macroscopic signature of a substrate everywhere seeking its lowest-energy configuration. OPEN (stated plainly): the outer boundary's max-tension condition is a CONJECTURE (per the Three Boundaries paper, "not yet quantified"), so the symmetry is forced-given-conjecture, not forced-outright; and whether the outer edge realises the same NUMERICAL threshold lambda* as the inner Shell (not merely the same form) is open, gated on the equation of state Rₛub. NOT CLAIMED: any new mechanism/equation/quantity; that the boundaries are one CONNECTED object (they are not — type identity, many instances) ; that the outer max-tension condition is proven; that the boundaries are numerically identical at threshold; or that the least-energy framing is a derivation (it is the recognition that two established results share one principle).
