Abstract

Abstract: The problem of evil is a philosophical and theological dilemma that questions the existence of an all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-loving God in light of the presence of evil and suffering in the world. This problem explored by theologians and philosophers. the term evil refers to physical pain, mental suffering, and moral wickedness. There are three main Christian responses to the problem of evil: the Augustinian response, the Irenaean response and the modern process theology. By analyzing the traditional frameworks of Augustine and Irenaeus, this research defends the Free Will Defense. The paper argues that the existence of severe natural and moral evil significantly shifts the epistemic burden, forcing critical re-evaluations of traditional divine attributes. The subject of the article is to find an answer to this moral dilemma in the perspective of Ramendra Sundar Trivedi.
