This study investigates how leadership influences employees’ performance in selected public universities in Southwest Nigeria. Data were collected from 331 states using structured questionnaires and analysed with multiple regression in SPSS (V27). Results indicate that transformational empowering, and participative leadership styles significantly enhance performance (B=0.36, 0.35, 0.34 p<0.001) The study therefore, concludes that the employees’ performance is positively and significantly influenced by the leadership styles.
