Bridget Simonson, Ph.D., is a senior group leader and research scientist in the Cardiovascular Disease Initiative at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. She joined the Precision Cardiology lab in January 2020, where she works on identifying new therapeutic targets for cardiovascular disease. She obtained her Ph.D. from Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand and previously conducted research in Saumya Das’s lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Massachusetts General Hospital on autophagy in the heart.
