Abstract

Abstract. The layout of production facilities is a crucial factor in supporting the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. CV. XYZ faces issues related to inefficient facility layout, leading to suboptimal material flow. This study aims to redesign the facility layout using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) and Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique (CRAFT) methods to improve production efficiency. The research process began with data collection on the current layout and production activities, followed by activity relationship analysis using the SLP method to develop layout alternatives. The CRAFT method was then applied to evaluate the efficiency of each alternative based on material movement volume. The results show that among the three proposed layouts, the second alternative achieved the lowest material movement volume of 3107, compared to 6001 in the initial layout. Additionally, this layout demonstrated a more logical production flow and better positioning of raw materials and finished goods areas. Therefore, the second layout is recommended as the optimal solution for improving facility layout efficiency in the company. Abstrak. Tata letak fasilitas produksi merupakan faktor penting dalam mendukung kelancaran proses produksi di perusahaan. CV. XYZ mengalami permasalahan dalam tata letak fasilitas yang menyebabkan alur perpindahan material tidak efisien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang ulang tata letak fasilitas produksi agar lebih efisien menggunakan metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) dan Computerized Relative Allocation of Facilities Technique (CRAFT). Tahapan penelitian diawali dengan pengumpulan data proses produksi dan peta layout awal, dilanjutkan dengan analisis hubungan aktivitas menggunakan metode SLP untuk menghasilkan beberapa alternatif tata letak. Kemudian, metode CRAFT digunakan untuk mengevaluasi efisiensi masing-masing alternatif berdasarkan volume perpindahan material.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari tiga alternatif layout yang dihasilkan, layout alternatif dua memiliki volume perpindahan terkecil, yaitu 3107, dibandingkan dengan layout awal sebesar 6001. Selain itu, layout ini juga dinilai lebih baik dari segi alur produksi dan penempatan area bahan baku serta produk jadi yang lebih fungsional. Oleh karena itu, layout alternatif dua dipilih sebagai solusi terbaik dalam peningkatan efisiensi tata letak fasilitas produksi di perusahaan.
