Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues of development of industry enterprises in the context of changes in the internal and external environments. Objectives. The article aims to unveil the essence of structural changes, identifying their differences from structural transformations. Methods. For the study, I used a systems analysis. Results. The article reads of the differences between structural transformations and structural changes in the context of their affecting enterprises’ activities. A process-based approach to building a management model for structural transformations help optimize resource use and improve the adaptability of enterprises. Conclusions. Understanding the mechanisms of structural changes and transformations is a necessary condition for enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of companies amid the current dynamics of socioeconomic transformations.
