Abstract

Tinospora cordifolia also named as Giloy, Amruta, Guduchi. It is commonly used medicinal plant in Ayurveda. This study aims to evaluate the pharmcognostical characteristics and physicochemical parameters of Tinospora cordifolia to ensure quality, purity and identity forming basis for standardization. The study includes macroscopic, microscopic examination, powder microscopy and physicochemical tests such as moisture content, ash values, extractive values.
