The article discusses methodological approaches to the formation of universal and professional competencies in students studying according to an individual curriculum, after mastering the educational program 33.02.01 Pharmacy. Full-time and distance (synchronous and asynchronous) teaching formats allow adapting teaching methods to ensure high-quality education of students and the successful formation of competencies prescribed in the working programs of disciplines and practices of the Department of Pharmacognosy of St. Petersburg State Chemical-Pharmaceutical University, such as botany, pharmacognosy, homeopathic pharmacy, educational practice in botany and educational practice in pharmacognosy. The systemic focus of teaching the disciplines and practices of the department, including active, integrative and personality-oriented approaches, allows improving the quality of training of pharmaceutical specialists, to increase their competitiveness in the labor market. The proposed training conditions at the department contribute to the development of students' interest in further study of professional disciplines.
