Abstract

The aim of the research is to create a comprehensive system of strategies for effectively preventing and resolving intercultural pragmatic conflicts in online communication. The article examines the features of the manifestation of intercultural pragmatic competence in the context of digital communication and the factors influencing the emergence of conflict situations in the virtual environment. Based on the analysis of online interactions between representatives of different cultures, the main types of pragmatic conflicts are identified: misinterpretation of speech acts, conflicts of politeness strategies, violations of temporal parameters of communication, and inadequate transmission of emotional states. A model of intercultural pragmatic competence for online discourse is developed, including cognitive, metapragmatic, adaptive, and interactive components. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the creation of the author's typology of conflict situations arising in online intercultural discourse due to pragmatic differences, as well as in the development of a set of original strategies for resolving intercultural pragmatic conflicts, specially adapted for the digital communicative environment. The results showed that the maximum number of pragmatic conflicts occurs when carriers of collectivist and individualistic cultural values interact. The implementation of the developed strategies will reduce the frequency of conflict situations and increase the effectiveness of intercultural online communication. The proposed system of strategies can serve as a basis for creating educational programs and methodological materials for participants in international online interaction.
