Abstract

The research aims to know the extent of the impact of digital economy indicators on sustainable development indicators in the Iraqi economy for the period 2004-2023, relying on the descriptive analytical approach, economic theoretical literature, and previous studies. The research concluded that there is an impact of digital economy indicators on sustainable development indicators, and this impact was positive between the gross domestic product indicator and (information and communications technology, percentage of Internet users), negative between the unemployment rate indicator (information and communications technology, innovation rate, percentage of Internet users), and directly between the carbon dioxide emission rate (information and communications technology, innovation rate, percentage of Internet users). The research recommended a set of recommendations, such as developing the new information sector created by the digital revolution and investing in the infrastructure of information and communications technology through networks, equipment, procedures, applications, qualified, trained, and advanced cadres.
