Abstract

The article discusses the tasks relevant to criminology related to countering illegal migration and preventing crime among migrants. The common types, methods and signs of illegal migration are analyzed, and its causes are identified. Comprehensive systemic measures are proposed to strengthen the legality of the entry and stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons, including those serving sentences in places of deprivation of liberty. The proposed measures are aimed at regulating migration policy in the Russian Federation.
