The archival text “Russian Culture and Its World-Historical Significance” by Pavel Sergeevich Popov, a well-known Russian philosopher, logician, and editor of the academic collection of L.N. Tolstoy’s works, is being published. The text argues that Russian culture is a global heritage, and the German Nazi expose barbarism and inhuman nature through their desire to destroy this culture. Popov’s main idea, which holds fundamental significance for contemporary Russia, is that true patriotism and love for one’s homeland are instilled through culture. Russian cul­ture embodies the cultural order of humanity. The victory over fascism is a vic­tory of world culture and reason.
