Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Exemplary Leadership Without Politics

Here we will apply literature review method. Our objective is to find the contribution of Sardar Patel in India’s nation-building and how he proved an institution in himself. In two peasant movements in Gujarat and also in freedom struggle of India. We will also theorise leadership and link the facets of Patel’s leadership and his role in the integration of Princely States. Finally, a critical analysis of Patel’s administrative leadership is attempted here and our finding is that Sardar Patel was neither communal nor appeaser of minority or majority community-rather he took a reasonable stand during crises and catastrophes like India’s division and also later.
