Abstract

The digital transition in education is revolutionizing traditional teaching methods, presenting difficulties for teachers, and opening up chances for improved learning experiences. This article emphasizes how digital tools and technology are changing teaching and learning settings and examines the two facets of digital transformation in education. Access to a variety of educational materials, worldwide cooperation, and personalised learning are important opportunities. However, infrastructure constraints, educator training, and digital equity make uptake difficult. A change from teacher-centric to learner-centric pedagogies is revealed by the literature study, with research emphasising the contribution of digital material, learning management systems, and artificial intelligence (AI) to interactive learning. Researchers like Kozma (2005) stress the value of pedagogical innovation in addition to technological integration, while Selwyn (2016) highlights the transformational power of technology in meeting a variety of learner needs. However, research by Eynon and Malmberg (2021) addresses the digital gap and highlights the necessity of fair access and teacher training to optimise the advantages of digital transformation.
