Abstract

In September 2019, an excavation was conducted at Me z ad Shorer (Permit No. A-8585; map ref. 198905/554425; Fig. 1), following damage to antiquities while laying a sewage pipe. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by Neve Midbar Regional Council, was directed by T. Sapir (field photography), with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), G. Seriy (metal detection), E. Aladjem (photogrammetry), M. Kahan (surveying and drafting), A. Azoulay (plan), I. Reznitsky (metallurgical laboratory), D. Gazit (studio photography), I. Lidsky-Reznikov (finds drawing), D.T. Ariel (numismatics), Y. Abadi-Reiss (stone tools), T. Winter (glass), T. Shadiel (archaeozoology), S. Talis of the IAA Southern Region, and laborers.
