In November 2020, a trial excavation was conducted in the vicinity of Na h al Ha z erim (Permit No. A-8711; map ref. 169617–70116/57809–28 ), prior to laying a water pipe. The excavation, carried out on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Mekorot Water Company, was directed of E. Bischoff Bruintjes, with the assistance of Y. Alamor (administration), E. Aladjem (surveying and aerial photography), A. Fraiburg (digital scanning), D. Gazit (studio photography), A. Golani (scientific guidance) and A. Azoulay (map), as well as O. Shmueli, V. Lifshits and S. Ganor.
