Abstract

The study is devoted to analyzing the means of forming the digital competence of future foreign language teachers. The concept of digital competence of future foreign language teachers as an integrated phenomenon that combines several components, including information and teaching, presentation, communicative, analytical, motivational, managerial, ethical, media, and technical, is clarified. Particular attention is paid to modern artificial intelligence technologies and their resources for the formation of digital competence of future foreign language teachers in the process of studying informative normative and elective disciplines, the content of which is constantly updated in response to the trends of digitalization of education. The groups of digital tools that should be known and used by future foreign language teachers in the process of studying and undergoing pedagogical practice are proposed, namely: 1) searching for information in the information environment of modern electronic libraries, catalogs, and scientometric databases; 2) personalization of foreign language learning, which helps to organize the process of self-learning according to an individual educational trajectory in the information educational environment through artificial intelligence AI technologies that can adapt learning materials and tasks to the needs and level of knowledge of each student; 3) synchronous and asynchronous communication to organize foreign language teaching in synchronous and asynchronous modes of learning; 4) tools for interactive online whiteboards for conducting foreign language teaching classes during pedagogical practice.
