In the contemporary world, with significant development and progress of society, women across several nations are now empowered. They are independent and have been integrated into society via which they can now create wealth. Women can leverage their skills and increase their economic participation. However, the case of Indonesia is not the same. Women’s contribution to the Indonesian economy have been persistently low over the last two decades due to factors such as religion, security and lack of sufficient opportunities. This study therefore analyzes the reasons behind this situation. It summarizes the actions undertaken by the government to improve these conditions while suggesting areas that demand further improvement. The aim is to conceive a solution in the form on vocational and technical training, that is both effective and creative. The study lays down the framework of this project and suggests a timeline to ensure sustainability.
