Abstract

The role of the Ilkhan kings in spreading altashyie. Although the Mongolians weren’t abide by the rules of religion therefore they didn’t have any sort of conflict over it but as they mixed with the world of Islam and converting to Islam they become part of the conflicts between sunnis and shias.The leaders become a sort of strength for either side that were accepted or refused by the Ilkhan kings.Thus in several phases altashyie grew and become the formal religion of the kingdom.They had dispute and and conflict with the sunnies.this is at a stage the Ilkhans did not understand and have not had the proper information about the Islam religion.Therefore,sometimes they completely regreted which of the two sides of the religion to choose and support.
