Abstract

the paper examines the problems of digital inequality in the sphere of inequality, focusing on the analysis of its essence and main characteristics. The article examines such an indicator of digital inequality as unequal access of educational institutions to IT resources, which results in digital barriers. It is stressed that digital inequality in education leads to the deepening of social inequality, strengthening the processes of marginalisation and social deprivation, as well as to the production of social risks.
