Genetic profiling can predict disease risk and treatment responses, while pharmacogenomics studies how genetic variations affect individual responses to medications. Targeted therapies like trastuzumab for HER2-positive breast cancer and biomarkers like PSA for prostate cancer screening demonstrate the precision approach’s effectiveness. Applications of precision medicine span various medical fields, including oncology, cardiology, infectious diseases, pulmonology, neurology, and diabetes management.
