Primary mucinous carcinoma of eyelid skin, a rare finding

Primary mucinous carcinoma of eyelid skin is a rare type of sweat gland carcinoma, with around 300 cases described to date. The most frequent clinical presentation is an asymptomatic nodule with characteristics very similar to those of other benign nodules, so the definitive diagnosis is always histopathological. Although the primary mucinous carcinoma of the skin (PMCS) risk of metastasis is low, its recurrence is much more frequent, so it is critical to expose the cases that we find of this tumor to help a better diagnosis in daily practice. We present the case of a patient with a nodule on the eyelid, and biopsy revealed findings compatible with PMCS.
