Abstract

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between adult and interpersonal relationships of university students and to explore moderating effect of mindfulness on the process. Methods The participants were 168 unversity students. This study measured adult attachment, interpersonal relationships, mindfulness. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 program and Cronbach's α, frequency analysis, descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and moderated regression analysis. Results The results of this study are as follows: adult attachment and mindfulness revealed direct influence on interpersonal relationships. Moreover, the mindfulness checked the moderating effect of do adult attachment on interpersonal relationships. Conclusions It can be speculated that applying the results of this study in actual consultations for in university students, if they learn training programs for using their mindfulness, they will effectively decrease their interpersonal relationships problems. Based on these research results, social welfare intervention measures were proposed to strengthen the mindfulness of university students.
