Abstract

The United States withdrew from Afghanistan on 30th August, 2021. The US spent about 20 years in Afghanistan in order to rebuild Afghanistan on modern democratic principles but miserably failed and ultimately had to withdraw. It’s failure can be attributed to a number of factors such as lack of knowledge about Taliban, cultural illiteracy, lingual illiteracy, inconsistent policies and inaccurate allocation of resources etc. The withdrawal had left Afghanistan in turmoil. Economic, security, ethnic and humanitarians crisis took over Afghanistan. This research will explore and analyze in detail the repercussions of US withdrawal from Afghanistan. This study will also provide suggestion for minimizing the implications of the withdrawal. The study was conducted using qualitative data from secondary resources.
