Abstract

This project advances an exam hall monitoring system by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) techniques for emotion detection, a user-friendly interface (UI), and features like unauthorised material detection, hand gesture recognition, an alert system, and comprehensive exam management.Drawing on previous research and employing advanced computer vision and AI technologies, the system is designed to transform exam supervision. The new UI facilitates seamless interactions for administrators and supervisors.AI-driven unauthorised material detection algorithms enhance security by identifying prohibited items, while hand gesture recognition employs AI to scrutinise potential malpractices.Emotion detection technology, powered by AI, evaluates students' emotional states to detect possible dishonest behaviour. An alert system utilises AI to promptly notify authorities of suspicious activities, enabling immediate intervention. The exam management system efficiently organises exam views, assigns staff to specific halls, and handles various examination processes.A central dashboard provides an overview of all detected anomalies and irregularities, aiding informed decision-making and strategic interventions.By merging these AI-enhanced functionalities, the system ensures a secure, fair, and emotionally considerate examination environment, proactively managing and preventing unethical practices to uphold academic integrity.
