Contexts of Innovation in Modern Higher Education: Level Hierarchy

Abstract

The relevance of this article is objectively determined by the innovative guidelines of modern society, which are declared in the concepts of economic and social development «Industry 4.0», «Industry 5.0», and determine the need to change the paradigm of higher education in the direction of its innovation, as defined in the concept of «Education 5.0», which requires its rethinking in the strategic and technological dimensions. The purpose of the article is to highlight the hierarchy of contexts of innovation in modern higher education. The study used the following methods of scientific and pedagogical research: analysis of scientific literature on the problem of innovation in higher education; analysis of educational and professional programs; synthesis, comparison, and systematization of scientific sources; definition analysis of the basic concepts of the study. The author's interpretation of the basic concepts of the study is presented, which are «innovation» (acceptance of new things, openness and readiness to introduce innovative technologies, creation of an innovative educational environment focused on the formation of an innovative personality capable of transferring products of innovative activity), «context» (a system of internal and external conditions of human life and activity, which in a particular situation determines the meaning and significance of this situation as a whole and its components), «contexts of innovation» (innovation-oriented system of internal and external conditions that determine the meaning and a certain vector of innovation activity). The hierarchy and consideration of the contexts of innovation in higher education are presented, which includes the normative and strategic context (provides for the priority of innovation in modern higher education, as well as the creation of conditions for the development and implementation of innovations in higher education institutions at the state level); scientific and theoretical context (related to the substantiation of the value and semantic feasibility and conditions of innovation in modern higher education at the theoretical level in the direction of development of various areas of innovation as a scientific field); didactic and technological context (focused on the introduction of innovative educational programs and innovative educational technologies).
