Abstract

Recent extensive research has focused on frequency regulation in domino inductive power transfer (IPT) systems to achieve quasi-load-independent (QLI) output. However, practical implementation unavoidably leads to output variations due to the existence of the equivalent series resistances (ESRs) of the coils, and investigations into the impact on practical systems are insufficient. To this end, this paper analyzes the characteristics of QLI constant current (CC) output in domino IPT systems considering the ESRs and examines the performance of different CC frequencies in a four-coil domino IPT system.
