Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of a creative dance class applying the SCAMPER technique on middle school students" physical self-concept and creative personality and physical expression ability. The subjects of the study were selected from the first-year students of B Middle School in Jeollabuk-do, consisting of 102 male and 110 female students, totaling 212 students. As a result, first, among the general characteristics of students participating in creative dance classes using the SCAMPER technique, physical self-concept according to gender was significantly higher in male students than in female students, there was no significant difference in creative personality between genders, and physical expression was significantly higher in male students than in female students. The ability of female students was significantly higher than that of male students. Second, physical self-concept was found to have a significant positive effect on creative personality. In other words, as physical self-concept increased, creative personality increased. Third, physical self-concept was found to have a significant positive effect on physical expression ability. In other words, as physical self-concept increased, physical expression ability increased. Fourth, creative personality was found to have a significant positive effect on physical expression ability. In other words, as creative personality increased, physical expressive ability increased.
