AI based ChatGPT impacts on second language learners

The utilization of Artificial Intelligence in language learning is yet to be exposed more. We do live in the era of technology. Second language learning needs autonomy and an informal atmosphere which has self-paced learning and it is highly recommended for a second language learner who has a shell to protect himself. According to Holec (1981), there should be an individual learning style for a learner and for that to happen, there should be enough obligation for a learner. The general question that is raised among the English teaching fraternity is that either English teachers may lose their jobs or credentials and the classes may become uncontrollable and most of all the syllabus and curriculum will not support the same. But contrary to that belief, AI usage enhances the second language learning and it shatters the inhibition, hesitation, fear and mental blocks of the learners. Till now in spite of the utilization and intervention of artificial intelligence in almost all the fields, it is not yet used offhandedly in language teaching and learning. Hence, there is an attempt to introduce the artificial intelligence in language learning. The latest usage of AI in chatbot has created a revolution in teaching world. The foreign countries and the foreign language centers which acts as a knowledge-centers for transferring the second language skills are panting due to the extensive coverage of chatgpt. It is said, Assessment may become easier but the contribution of the educator may become less and less. Though it is argued that more personalized learning is possible by the introduction of chatgpt in our language classrooms, it still remains a million-dollar question to many of us.
