In the article, the authors consider current trends affecting the state of Russian families and the demography of the country as a whole and study the attitude of the younger generation to marriage unions. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that existing trends that affect the condition of young Russian families have an impact on the further demographic development of society. In the course of the study, a questionnaire method was used, with the help of which data were obtained on the attitude of young people to marriage unions.
