Abstract

The disabled community encounters numerous challenges affecting their daily lives, social involvement, and overall welfare. Visually impaired individuals often feel uncomfortable when others assist them with routine tasks. A proposed solution aims to empower the blind by offering real-time information about approaching individuals. This wearable device includes a camera capturing images of people nearing the blind person. Utilizing CNN algorithm, the system processes these images to determine if the approaching person is known or unknown. Upon recognizing a familiar face, the system generates a personalized voice message to reassure the blind person. Conversely, for unfamiliar faces, it immediately alerts the blind individual. To enhance security, the system transmits the conversation data, location, and an image of unknown person to the designated caretaker. By integrating cutting-edge technologies like facial recognition, voice communication, and data transmission, this assistive system represents a significant advancement in ensuring the safety and comfort of visually impaired individuals in various situations.
