With compact yet captivating tales, short stories have the potential to be an effective tool for enhancing students' writing skills in English language learning classrooms. As a result, this study article gives a complete overview of the literature on the impact of short stories on language learning. A systematic strategy is used in this study to discover and assess relevant nonempirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and expert perspectives on adding short tales to improve students' writing skills. The data for this research were analyzed, and ten published articles on the subject were reviewed. The findings from the evaluated journal papers show that including short stories in English language education, particularly in intensive reading courses, has a good influence.
