Abstract

The paper proposes a techno-economic analysis of strategically placed Solar Photovoltaic distributed generators in the primary distribution system. Economic advantages are evaluated by examining the reduction in loss costs and the decreased number of units supplied from the substation, attributed to the introduction of Solar Photovoltaic generation. The optimal placement of distributed generators is demonstrated to lower system losses, leading to significant cost savings. Additionally, the analysis includes the total installation cost of the SPV system, and the economic benefits are derived from a decrease in system real power loss.
