Abstract

Abstract A shortleaf pine growing in a central Louisiana seed orchard produced unpollinated conelets that enlarged and matured during the first year but yielded no seed. Pollinated conelets on this tree required the usual 2 years to mature and yield normal seed. Forest Sci. 21:399-400.
