Abstract

Butterflies of Car Nicobar belonging to Papilionidae, Pieridae, Danaidae, Satyridae, Nymphalidae, Lycacnidae and Hesperiidae families with 18 genera, 20 species and 17 subspecies are discussed. Amathusids and Riodinids are not recorded from Car Nicobar.
