Key Points

  • This research aims to analyze the complete genome of Azospira sp. strain I13 to understand its N2O-reduction capabilities.
  • Sequenced the genome of Azospira sp. strain I13
  • Identified and characterized two distinct nosZ genes
  • Analyzed genetic components related to N2O reduction
  • Identified the complete genome sequence of Azospira sp. strain I13
  • Found two distinct nosZ genes associated with nitrous oxide reduction
  • Suggested potential implications for developing N2O mitigation technologies

Abstract

ABSTRACT We report on the complete genome sequence of Azospira sp. strain I13, a class of Betaproteobacteria . We identified two distinct nitrous oxide (N 2 O) reductase ( nosZ ) genes in the retrieved genome. Elucidating the genetic repertoire may clarify the high N 2 O-reduction activity and guide novel mitigation technologies.
