Key Points

  • The research aims to introduce GOrilla as a novel tool for GO enrichment analysis, emphasizing its unique features.
  • Developed a tool for analyzing gene lists based on Gene Ontology (GO) terms.
  • Implemented threshold-free enrichment methods coupled with rigorous statistical approaches.
  • Created effective graphical representations for visualizing results.
  • GOrilla offers enhanced running time compared to existing GO enrichment tools.
  • Utilizes rigorous statistical methods that improve analysis reliability and accuracy.
  • Provides user-friendly graphical outputs facilitating better interpretation of results.

Abstract

GOrilla is an efficient GO analysis tool with unique features that make a useful addition to the existing repertoire of GO enrichment tools. GOrilla's unique features and advantages over other threshold free enrichment tools include rigorous statistics, fast running time and an effective graphical representation.
