Abstract

Achieving the set strategic development goals means a quantitative and qualitative change in the agro-industrial complex, requiring its modernization. The article discusses the problems of modernization of agricultural production. It is shown that the main participant in modernization in agriculture is the state, which provides preferential loans and subsidies for preferential leasing of equipment. At the same time, the accrued depreciation today does not fulfill its main purpose - the formation of funds for the reproduction of fixed assets. Based on the average cost of one unit of purchased equipment in 2024 at 8.3 million rubles. due to depreciation, agricultural organizations could purchase 35,183 units of equipment, which would accelerate the rate of renewal of equipment in agriculture. The following features of the modernization process in agriculture were identified: the importance of the state in financing the technical renewal of equipment; low rates of equipment renewal; dependence on the supply of imported equipment; increase in maintenance costs for imported equipment already in use (spare parts and repair materials).
