Key Points

  • To explore how a dual-biopolymer interface can improve desolvation kinetics and zinc flux for zinc anodes.
  • Examined the properties of a CS/Gel protective layer
  • Analyzed the desolvation behavior of Zn 2+
  • Evaluated zinc ion flux stability
  • The CS/Gel layer accelerates Zn 2+ desolvation behavior
  • Achieves a more uniform zinc ion flux
  • Results in the stabilization of zinc anodes

Abstract

Attributed to the abundant polar functional groups and 3D crosslinked network, the CS/Gel protective layer can effectively accelerate the Zn 2+ desolvation behavior and homogenize the zinc ion flux, thus realizing stable zinc anodes.
