The correlation between the systemic immune-inflammation index and relapse and metastasis in cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients over 50 years and older
To investigate the relationship between systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) and cancer relapse and metastasis in patients over 50 with cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC).
Analyzed levels of systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) in cervical squamous cell carcinoma patients aged 50 and older.
Monitored and recorded incidences of relapse and metastasis among these patients.
Higher systemic immune-inflammation index (SII) levels correlate with a significantly increased risk of cancer relapse.
Patients with elevated SII show a greater likelihood of metastasis, indicating poorer prognosis.
Abstract
Higher levels of SII are significantly associated with a higher risk of relapse and metastasis, indicating that SII may have important clinical value in the prognosis assessment of CSCC.
