Key Points

  • The research aims to evaluate the tracking accuracy of CyberKnife using the RayStation treatment planning system.
  • Generated end-to-end plans for CyberKnife in RayStation version RS12A.
  • Validated results by comparing them with the actual treatment process.
  • Utilized this validation method for periodic targeting checks and fine-tuning robot positions.
  • Confirmed the accuracy of targeting in the RayStation/CyberKnife treatment chain.
  • Demonstrated potential for using the method for routine verification and adjustments.

Abstract

This study shows that E2E plans for CyberKnife can be generated in RS12A. The validation of the E2E results by comparison with the genuine treatment chain validates the targeting of the RayStation/CyberKnife treatment chain and also allows to use this method for periodic targeting checks and numerical robot position fine tune adjustment.
