Abstract

The objective of this research is to implement a STEM-based robotics learning device to enhance students’ collaborative skills through practical and innovative approaches. The primary instrument employed is a sophisticated transporter robot kit, which demonstrates the capability of precision collection of ping pong balls and is managed remotely via a Bluetooth-based mobile application. The methodology is comprised of the following elements. First, a needs analysis is conducted via situational assessment, thereby providing the robot device with teaching modules. Second, intensive training is provided for educators and students. Third, program effectiveness is evaluated through participation data and learning outcomes. The implementation phase revealed the robot’s high responsiveness and effectiveness as a hands-on STEM learning medium. The results indicated substantial enhancements in motivation, conceptual understanding, and practical robotics skills, as reported by both students and educators. The kit’s validation encompassed its efficacy as an educational tool and its suitability as a platform for competitions such as the Indonesian Robot Contest (KRI). This development has been shown to enhance the quality of STEM education through the integration of applied robotic technology.
