Abstract Introduction Cardiovascular diseases, though largely preventable, continue to be the leading cause of mortality in the Philippines, with hypertension as the most prevalent risk factor. This study aims to evaluate the current knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of hypertensive individuals in a tertiary hospital and explore how health infographics can enhance hypertension awareness and management. Methods In this quasi-experimental study, 115 participants with clinically diagnosed hypertension completed a pre-intervention questionnaire, viewed the health infographic, followed by a post-intervention questionnaire in a single session. Data collected at baseline included demographic information, knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding hypertension. Wilcoxon Signed-Rank and McNemar Tests were used for statistical analyses. Results The participants had a mean age of 59.24 years, with 85.22% having a family history of hypertension. The Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test showed a significant increase in both knowledge (p0.001) and practices (p0.001). The McNemar Test further revealed a significant increase in knowledge scores regarding the definition of normal and high blood pressure measurements (p0.001), complications of uncontrolled hypertension (p0.001), risk factors such as excessive salt intake (p=0.007) and alcohol intake (p=0.012), and importance of regular blood pressure monitoring (p=0.002). Additionally, hypertension management practices showed a significant increase for all practice questions (p0.05). Conclusion The study highlights health infographics as an effective educational tool in improving knowledge and practices related to hypertension management. While a simple concept, visual health literacy presents an impactful approach to promoting better hypertension control among the general population.
