Unification of General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics: A Framework for Elementary Particles as Waves in a Superstring-fabric Spacetime (Version 3, revised)

KSKarrar Shuhaib

Key Points

  • To present a unified framework that connects general relativity and quantum mechanics through a superstring-fabric spacetime model.
  • Developed a model where elementary particles are waves in a superstring-fabric spacetime.
  • Analyzed proton-proton collision data using ATLAS measurements.
  • Utilized Fourier analysis to identify periodic oscillations related to the wave-like behavior of particles.
  • The model replicates fundamental equations of quantum mechanics and modifications to Einstein's field equations.
  • Analysis showed consistent periodic oscillations in the η distributions, supporting the wave-like nature of particles.
  • The framework encompasses interpretations of the Higgs boson within its structure.

Abstract

In this work, we propose a unified framework that models spacetime as a continuous fabric of interconnected superstrings. In this formulation, an elementaryparticle is represented as a wave propagating through the fabric, rotating arounda central axis and inducing a localized torsion of spacetime. The propagationalong the axis accounts for linear momentum, the rotation around the axis generates intrinsic spin, the oscillation frequency determines mass–energy, and thetorsional excitation gives rise to electric charge. This framework naturally reproduces the Schr¨odinger, Klein–Gordon, and Dirac equations, while also recoveringthe effective structure of Maxwell’s theory. Moreover, it predicts a modified formof Einstein’s field equations that consistently incorporates quantum properties ofmatter. In this way, the model provides a clear geometric–wave description thatbridges general relativity and quantum mechanics. We provide experimental support through Fourier analysis of proton–protoncollision data at √s = 13 TeV, using ATLAS measurements of inclusiveisolated-photon and photon+jet production. The analysis reveals periodic oscillations in the η distributions, consistent with the predicted wave-like modulationsof particles in the proposed superstring-fabric spacetime. These findings offerboth theoretical and empirical evidence for a unified wave–geometric descriptionof matter and fields. Version 2: Added section (9) on the Higgs boson interpretation within the Wave–Fabric framework and minor corrections to formatting. Version 3: Fundamental action added in this version.
