Engineering the linkage of mesoporous covalent organic frameworks for enhancing selective photocatalytic oxidation of organic sulfides

JZJiaqi ZhangYWYuexin WangZLZheng Li

Key Points

  • To investigate the effectiveness of cyano-vinylene-linked covalent organic framework in photocatalytic oxidation of organic sulfides.
  • Comparison of cyano-vinylene-linked and imine-linked covalent organic frameworks.
  • Assessment of photocatalytic activity in the presence of oxygen.
  • Evaluation of selectivity for organic sulfide oxidation.
  • The cyano-vinylene-linked framework demonstrated superior photocatalytic activity.
  • Higher selectivity for oxidizing organic sulfides compared to the imine-linked framework.

Abstract

The cyano-vinylene-linked covalent organic framework, TFPT-sp 2 c-TCN, outshines its imine-linked analogue, TFPT–TDA, in the selective photocatalytic oxidation of organic sulfides with oxygen.
