Key Points

  • The aim is to provide additional resources that support the main article's consultation methodology and empirical evidence.
  • Provided operational procedures for three-phase consultation protocol: Authentication, Perturbation, Verification.
  • Compiled empirical case reconstructions from classroom settings.
  • Documented consultation episodes with analytical summaries and field notes.
  • Developed a topic-specific practitioner protocol using arithmetic sequences.
  • Included twenty-five documented consultation episodes with summaries and classifications.
  • Generated five annotated videos depicting real classroom consultation practices.
  • Presented protocols to ensure empirical transparency and replication support.

Abstract

Supplementary materials accompanying the article "The Cost of Insight: Consultation as an Engineered Ecology for Agency" (Kalmakov, 2026). This repository contains four documents supporting the main manuscript: SM-A: Consultation Protocols — Operational procedures for implementing the three-phase consultation protocol (Authentication, Perturbation, Verification), including the Modality Gradient, anti-protocol failure cases, and four empirical case reconstructions (~3,200 words). SM-B: Video Documentation — Five annotated YouTube videos capturing consultation implementation in authentic classroom settings, organized by process, student, economic, curator, and psychological perspectives. Language: Russian. SM-C: Consultation Case Corpus (C01–C25) — Twenty-five consultation episodes documented from curator audio reports during field implementation (September–November 2020, Grade 1). Each case includes analytical summary and verbatim translated field notes. Includes typological classification and cross-case pattern analysis (~14,000 words). SM-D: Sample Consultation Protocol — Arithmetic Sequences — Topic-specific practitioner protocol illustrating how the general consultation framework applies to a concrete mathematical domain (9 difficulty sub-levels, 1A–3C), with perturbation scripts, verification procedures, and materials specifications (~3,300 words). All materials are designed for replication support, empirical transparency, and practitioner implementation within Challenge Space Architecture (CSA). Student names are anonymized.
