  • Demonstrated personalized treatment strategies beyond exudate monitoring.
  • Showed potential for real-time diagnostics in chronic wounds.

Abstract

Chronic Wounds In article number e11542, Zeynep Altintas and co-workers present a hydrogel microneedle dressing that penetrates the epidermis and reaches to the dermis to continuously sample wound interstitial fluid, enabling real-time diagnostics and intelligent chronic-wound therapy. Laser-scribed PEDOT:PSS electrodes on an antibacterial MXene-infused hydrogel provide multiplexed sensing of seven biomarkers, delivering biochemical insights and personalized treatment beyond surface exudate monitoring.
